My name is Joshua Purcell, and I am in the Ed.S. Program for Instructional Technology at Kennesaw State University. I began the program fall of 2017 and I will graduate spring 2019. I graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in education. I began teaching high school social studies the following year. In 2015, I completed a Master's degree with Piedmont College. I currently teach economics, psychology, and sociology at Banks County High School, where I have worked since 2007. I've also worked with Foothills High Charter School at Lee Arrendale Prison since 2015. My ultimate goal is to utilize my education at KSU in my classroom or as a digital learning specialist. The purpose of this portfolio is for me to demonstrate mastery of the PSC Instructional Technology standards and the ISTE NETS-C standards. As you can see, there are a series of links above that you can visit. Of particular importance is the "standards" link. Under this link, you will see a series of artifacts and reflections documenting the important work I have completed during this program. Each artifact represents mastery of the standard under which it is represented. My experience at Kennesaw State will serve to refine the technology habits and practices of my classroom and prepare me for disseminating professional development to my fellow colleagues.
